
The Bossier City Police Department is recognizing one of its officers for assisting a resident during recent flooding in the city.
According to the department, Corporal Jeter entered floodwaters to help a stranded woman reach safety as rising water impacted parts of Bossier City. His actions were captured by a bystander and later shared by the department.
Police officials said the rescue exemplifies the dedication and willingness of officers to respond wherever they are needed, even in hazardous conditions.
The department praised Corporal Jeter for putting the safety of others first and thanked him for his continued service to the citizens of Bossier City.
