Rain chances increase Thursday as scattered thunderstorms become more likely during the afternoon. High temperatures will remain near 90 degrees under humid conditions, with a 40 percent chance of precipitation. Additional showers and thunderstorms are possible Thursday night as rain chances rise to 50 percent.
The greatest likelihood of rainfall arrives on Juneteenth. Forecasters are calling for a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with the highest chances occurring during the morning hours. Despite the increased cloud cover and rain potential, temperatures are still expected to climb into the upper 80s.
Showers and thunderstorms may linger into Friday night before a somewhat unsettled pattern continues through Saturday. Highs will remain around 90 degrees with a 40 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms.
Weather conditions gradually improve during the second half of the weekend. While isolated showers and thunderstorms remain possible Sunday, rain chances decrease to 20 percent as temperatures rise into the lower 90s and skies become partly cloudy.
