Speaker Mike Johnson (LA-04) qualified for re-election on Feb. 11 to continue serving Louisiana’s 4th District. Johnson was first elected to Congress in 2016 by the largest margin of victory in his region in more than 50 years, and in 2023, was unanimously elected by his House Republican colleagues to serve as the Speaker of the House, earning the position faster than any person in history except for Speaker John G. Carlisle in 1883. He is the first person from Louisiana ever elected to the position, and the highest ranked government official in the history of the state.

Speaker Johnson recently announced he raised over $82 million for House Republicans in 2025, the largest amount ever raised in one year by a Speaker of the House. This includes over $16 million raised in the fourth quarter, which is also the largest off-year fourth quarter by a Speaker.
