Shreveport Police officers responded to a report of a possible kidnapping involving a juvenile at a residence located in the 8900 block of Blom Boulevard on Wednesday, July 9.

Upon arrival, officers quickly determined that the incident was not a kidnapping, but rather involved a juvenile who had run away from home. Further investigation revealed that the juvenile was in the company of an adult male who had forcibly entered the home of the juvenile’s grandfather and physically assaulted him.

The suspect, identified as Taylor Holste, was taken into custody and arrested for Home Invasion and
Contributing to the Delinquency of Juveniles. The mother of the child, Rebecca Hartfield was arrested as well for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

The juvenile has since been safely placed into custody.
