SPD Narcotics Investigators take action against vape shops selling to minors

Joshua Arnold, Muhamed Mosid, and Maged Ali Malahi

Shreveport Police Narcotics agents executed two separate search warrants at local vape shops following citizen complaints that the stores were illegally selling products to minors on Wednesday, July 10.

The investigation began after concerned members of the community reported that employees at Pro Smoke and Vape located at 9312 Mansfield Road, and Jump Force Vape Shop located at 9447 Mansfield Road, were allegedly selling marijuana products to underage individuals.

Undercover operations confirmed the reports, with suspects at both locations conducting illegal sales to
undercover agents. As a result, at Pro Smoke and Vape, two suspects were arrested: Joshua Arnold (17) and Muhamed Mosid (19). During the search, agents seized approximately 676 grams of marijuana and $1,177 in cash.

At Jump Force Vape Shop, one individual was arrested: Maged Ali Malahi. A search of that location yielded approximately 227 grams of marijuana and $691 in cash.

The Shreveport Police Department is committed to protecting youth and will continue to investigate and
shut down establishments that endanger the community through illegal practices.

Anyone with information regarding illegal drug activity is encouraged to contact Shreveport Police at 318-673-7300 or Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373, where tips can remain anonymous.
