Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies are investigating a single-vehicle crash that resulted in one individual’s death Wednesday afternoon in South Caddo Parish, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr.

At approximately 12:40pm on March 5, deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 13800 block of Keithville Keatchie Road. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a full-size pickup truck in a ditch on the east side of the road, with two individuals inside. Caddo Fire Districts 4 and 6 also arrived at the scene and transported the driver, who had life-threatening injuries, along with the passenger, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, to LSU/Ochsner Hospital in Shreveport.

Unfortunately, upon arrival at the hospital, medical staff at the hospital pronounced the driver deceased. No status on the condition of the passenger is available at this time. 

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
