Current status of Cross Lake and floodgate operations

The Department of Water and Sewerage is actively monitoring the water levels at Cross Lake, which
currently stands at 172.84 feet, precisely at flood stage. To mitigate the risk of flooding in and around the
lake, we initiated a controlled response by opening all three floodgates late last week.

Over the weekend, in response to a revised weather forecast, one floodgate was closed to adjust our water management strategy. However, as conditions have evolved, we reopened the third floodgate yesterday.

These gates will remain open for as long as necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of the surrounding communities.

Our team is working diligently to manage the water levels and will continue to make adjustments based
on real-time data and weather predictions. We appreciate the community’s cooperation and understanding during this period.
