MONROE – Loyola had boys and girls doubles teams advance Monday to today’s semifinals in the LHSAA Division III State Tennis tournament.
The Flyers’ girls doubles team of Mae Graf and Kathryn Elberson won its three matches on the first day of competition to advance to the semifinals against Lauren Longmire – Zoe Stein of University Lab-Baton Rouge.
Loyola’s boys doubles team of Ravi Ahuja and James Graf also won three matches and will face George Harrod – Milo Johnston of Dunham in today’s semifinals.
Loyola’s Mary Elberson advanced to the girls singles quarterfinals before dropping a 6-2, 3-6, 2-0 match to Emily Patten of E.D. White.
Several Calvary competitors were in action Monday but none advanced to today’s final two rounds.
