In a swift and coordinated effort, Bossier Sheriff’s detectives have successfully arrested two individuals suspected of committing armed robbery in Plain Dealing. The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday morning at a business located in the 500 block of La. Highway 3.

According to reports, two men entered the Outpost Travel Center Casino brandishing what appeared to be long guns. They proceeded to demand cash from both the casino cashier and a patron before swiftly fleeing the scene on foot with an undisclosed sum of money. The brazen robbery prompted a rapid response from law enforcement.

Upon notification, officers from the Plain Dealing Police Department swiftly intervened and requested assistance from the Bossier Sheriff’s Office. Responding units included patrol deputies, K-9 teams, drone operators, detectives, and crime scene investigators. Their collaborative efforts quickly set into motion a comprehensive investigation aimed at bringing the perpetrators to justice.

Utilizing K-9 units, investigators were able to track a trail of money and crucial evidence, including parts of what was later identified as an airsoft rifle, to a residence on Gloria Street in Plain Dealing. A subsequent search of the premises, authorized by a warrant obtained by BSO detectives, yielded significant discoveries.

During the search, law enforcement officers detained four individuals for questioning. Among the findings were a 12-gauge shotgun believed to have been used in the robbery, as well as clothing and footwear matching those worn by the suspects captured on casino surveillance footage.

Following thorough interrogation and analysis of the evidence, arrest warrants were issued for Cedrick Dobbin and Edward Dobbin, both residents of Plain Dealing. The suspects were promptly taken into custody and booked into the Bossier Maximum Facility. Each individual faces charges of armed robbery, with bond set at $750,000.

While significant progress has been made in this case, Bossier Sheriff’s detectives emphasize that the investigation remains ongoing. Efforts to gather additional evidence and information continue as authorities work diligently to ensure that all parties involved are brought to justice.
