The Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office has reached the site of a shooting incident on Via Street in Shreveport.

Shreveport police responded just before 6 p.m. last night, and 13 units remained on the scene an hour and a half later.

A distressed young woman at the location received comfort from another person as she exclaimed, “My brother,” and “I can’t do this again.”

SPD officers were stationed to prevent family members and others from crossing the police crime scene tape.
