Residents of Shreveport, mark your calendars for the upcoming changes in the garbage collection schedule this festive season. In light of the Christmas holiday on Monday, December 25th, adjustments have been made to ensure smooth waste disposal. Here’s what you need to know:

• Monday, Dec. 25, 2023: No garbage will be collected, and City Offices will remain closed to observe Christmas Day.

• Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023: Monday’s garbage will be collected, so make sure your bins are ready for pickup.

• Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023: Tuesday’s garbage collection is scheduled.

• Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023: Keep your bins out as Thursday’s garbage will be collected.

• Friday, Dec. 29, 2023: Friday’s garbage collection will take place as usual.

Please note the following additional information:

• Bulk Collections: There will be no scheduled bulk collections for this week. If you have heavy items that require disposal, please call the Solid Waste Office at (318) 673-6300 to schedule a future collection day.

• Woolworth Road Regional Solid Waste Facility: This facility will be closed on Monday, December 25th. For further inquiries about the facility, feel free to call (218) 925-5300.
