
On November 7, officers responded to the 4800 block of McDaniel Drive after the discovery of a gunshot victim. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced deceased by the Shreveport Fire Department, prompting an immediate homicide investigation.
The Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Unit diligently pursued leads and pieced together information surrounding the tragic incident. Through their efforts, an 18-year-old, Koryeon Vance, was identified as a suspect. On December 1st, Vance was apprehended and is currently facing charges of second-degree murder in connection with this case.
This arrest marks a significant step forward in seeking justice for the victim. As with all legal proceedings, it’s important to note that all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
