Plain Dealing coach Christopher Wilson announced Thursday via social media he is stepping down from his position as head football coach at Plain Dealing High School.
“After much thought and prayers for guidance, I’ve made the decision to resign as head football coach of the Plain Dealing Lions,” wrote Wilson in a post to his twitter account.
Wilson spent the past two seasons leading the Plain Dealing program compiling a 5-14 record. He took the Lions to the 2021 playoffs.
Wilson spent previous seasons as an assistant coach at Mansfield, Green Oaks, Fair Park and Booker T. Washington.
“I’m forever grateful for Sandrina Iseabart for taking a chance on me and giving me the unlimited support to find my way,” said Wilson in his post.
