There were a few shifts in this week’s Shreveport-Bossier Journal Top 10 poll rankings, but the only change at the top is unanimous agreement.

Unbeaten Calvary, the No. 1 ranked team statewide in Class 2A, was at the top of all five SBJ media voters’ rankings this week. The Cavs had been getting four first-place votes, but their blowout win at Union Parish and Airline’s loss to Class 4A Franklin Parish got the final No. 1 vote going to Linwood Avenue.

One point separated No. 2 Parkway and No. 3 Evangel, with Loyola staying put in fourth. Airline, which had gotten the other first-place vote, dipped to fifth after it couldn’t hold a fourth-period lead against the visiting Patriots.

Five veteran sports media members who cover local high school football rank their top 10 teams each week. Rankings started after Week 1 and continue through the end of the regular season.
