Shreveport Police Department Lt. Jared Woods has been selected to attend the FBI National Academy.

In the coming weeks, Woods will travel to the academy for advanced training in law enforcement leadership, procedures, technology and tactics.

The Shreveport Police Department said Woods will represent the department at the academy.
