Bossier High School has been designated a Louisiana Purple Star School, recognizing its support for military-connected students and their families.

Dr. Ernise Singleton from the Louisiana Department of Education visited the campus to present the official banner to Principal Dr. Billy Neill.

Earning the designation requires meeting high standards of support for military-connected students and their families.

The Bossier Chamber of Commerce also named Bossier High a Military Champion and presented the school with a $250 award.

Bossier High is the 29th Purple Star School in Bossier Parish. Bossier Schools serves more than 3,200 military families.
