Caddo Parish Superintendent Keith Burton introduced Charlese Bell, a senior at Green Oaks Performing Arts Academy, as the first student featured in Workforce Wednesday.

This fall, Bell is one of 32 Caddo Parish students gaining real-world experience through internships at approximately 20 businesses across the parish. She is serving at the district office, where she is learning, contributing and preparing for what comes next.

Career experiences in high school help students connect what they learn in the classroom to the opportunities, expectations and possibilities of the workforce.

Burton thanked Bell and the other students participating in the program, as well as the businesses and partners making the internships possible.
