The Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce and Caddo Parish Public Schools connected 32 students with 20 local businesses and community organizations Friday for Caddo Works signing day.

Students, teachers, parents and business partners gathered to celebrate the program, which connects middle and high school students with real-world career exposure through opportunities such as job shadowing and internships.

Greater Shreveport Chamber Board Chair Scott Ward and NWLA APEX Business Accelerator Director Dr. Gayle Flowers both participated in the program as interns this year.

Businesses can participate in Caddo Works through guest speaking, facility tours, job shadowing and career days, cooperative education and internships.
