Thirty-year-old Maurice Devon Grant of Haughton has been arrested on multiple felony charges after investigators reportedly uncovered videos showing him sexually assaulting a severely medically disabled, non-verbal student inside a special needs classroom at a Caddo Parish high school.
The investigation began with a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and led investigators to multiple videos documenting the alleged abuse.
Grant faces 18 felony counts, including three counts each of first-degree rape, prohibited sexual conduct between educator and student, molestation of a person with a physical or mental disability, sexual battery of persons with infirmities, cruelty to elderly and persons with infirmities, and abuse of persons with infirmities through electronic means.
Grant is currently incarcerated at the Bossier Maximum-Security Facility on a separate charge related to the production of child sexual abuse material and is awaiting booking into the Caddo Correctional Center.
The Shreveport Police Department said the investigation involved the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, the Shreveport Police Department and the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office.
