Caddo Fire District 3 Fire and EMS were dispatched to a single-vehicle rollover crash on I-20 East near Exit 5 in Greenwood on Aug. 16 at approximately 8:27 p.m.

First-arriving crews found a box truck that had left the roadway and rolled into the woods, leaving the driver trapped inside the vehicle.

Fire and rescue crews immediately began extrication operations. After approximately 20 minutes, firefighters successfully freed the driver from the vehicle.

The driver was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
