Shreveport Police Seek Contractor Accused of $310K Fraud

Shreveport Police detectives are searching for Timothy Thomas in connection with a residential contractor fraud investigation. Thomas entered into a contract in August 2024 with two victims to build a home, quoting approximately $444,000 for the project. Over the course of construction, Thomas collected more than $310,000 from the victims before concerns arose about the quality and manner of the work. Thomas’s state contractor license had expired. Anyone with information on Thomas’s whereabouts is asked to contact Shreveport Police or Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers.

A student at Calvary Baptist Academy in Shreveport was arrested Monday after a knife was discovered on school property, the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed. The school is located on Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.

Shreveport Man Pleads Guilty to Attempted Second-Degree Murder

A Shreveport man pleaded guilty Monday to attempted second-degree murder in connection with an attack on a female acquaintance in September 2024. Additional sentencing details are expected from the Caddo Parish District Court.
