Shreveport police arrested Braden Perry following a violent robbery at a Circle K in the 2000 block of Bert Kouns Industrial Loop.

On Aug. 4, surveillance video showed a masked suspect stealing merchandise and attacking a store clerk after the clerk attempted to intervene. The suspect continued taking items, including several packs of cigarettes, before fleeing the scene on a bicycle.

Patrol officers continued investigating the case, identified Perry as the suspect and took him into custody Aug. 6 at approximately 5 a.m.

Police said Perry was reportedly wearing some of the same clothing seen during the robbery.

Perry faces robbery, theft and battery charges.

The Shreveport Police Department credited patrol officers who continued working the case and brought the suspect into custody.
