The City of Bossier City has issued a precautionary boil advisory for customers located along Antietam Drive and Cold Harbor Court in Bossier City.

Bossier City maintenance crews responded to a water main blowout near 200 Antietam Drive. The 10-inch water main was isolated, and repairs were completed at approximately 2:30 p.m. Water service has been restored.

As a precaution, affected customers should boil water for one minute before consuming it until the advisory is officially rescinded.

The advisory applies only to water used for consumption, including drinking, cooking, making ice and brushing teeth.

The city said the advisory is precautionary and not a boil order. Customers should continue boiling water until the city announces that the advisory has been lifted.
