Residents across Caddo and Bossier parishes can expect another stretch of hot summer weather through the upcoming weekend, with highs remaining in the mid-90s and only isolated afternoon thunderstorms in the forecast.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a slight 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon. High temperatures will reach the mid-90s with south winds around 5 mph. Wednesday night will be mostly clear with lows in the upper 70s.

Thursday will remain mostly sunny and hot, with highs again in the mid-90s and south winds around 5 mph. Thursday night will be mostly clear with overnight lows in the mid-70s.

Friday through Sunday will bring a mix of sun and clouds each day with a slight 20 percent chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Highs will continue in the mid-90s, while nighttime lows will remain in the mid-70s. Friday evening also carries a slight chance of lingering thunderstorms before skies become mostly clear overnight.

Monday’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with another slight 20 percent chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will once again climb into the mid-90s.

With temperatures remaining well above normal for early August, residents are encouraged to stay hydrated, limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day, and use caution when spending extended periods outdoors.
