The Bossier Council on Aging has received a $50,000 grant from the Community Foundation of North Louisiana.

According to the organization, the funding will help ensure the continued availability of nutritious meals 365 days a year for Bossier Parish seniors through its Home-Delivered Meals program.

The council said the Home-Delivered Meals program and other home-based services help older adults remain safely in their homes and maintain their independence for as long as possible.

The Bossier Council on Aging thanked the Community Foundation of North Louisiana for supporting the well-being of seniors in the community.
