The Shreveport Police Department is continuing to investigate a shooting that occurred at 2400 LeGardy Street. Police said the 14-year-old female victim, who suffered a gunshot wound to the head, has died from her injuries.

Detectives have detained multiple individuals who were inside the residence as they work to determine what occurred.

Investigators are examining whether the shooting was self-inflicted or the result of an accidental discharge. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
