The Shreveport Police Department has arrested two individuals following an extensive investigation into an organized retail theft operation targeting multiple businesses across Shreveport.
The investigation identified thefts involving Kroger, Sam’s Club, Target, Best Buy, Lowe’s, and Home Depot, resulting in thousands of dollars in stolen merchandise.
Ladarrius Bowers (10/15/2003) has been arrested and charged with:
* Six counts of Organized Retail Theft
* One count of Misdemeanor Theft

The investigation began in June 2026 when Property Crimes detectives responded to a reported shoplifting incident. Through surveillance footage, investigative leads, and information provided by members of the community through Crime Stoppers, detectives identified the suspects and linked them to a series of thefts involving multiple retail stores throughout the city.
As the investigation progressed, detectives determined the suspects were responsible for at least nine reported thefts in Shreveport. Investigators also learned that many of the stolen items were being resold for profit.
On July 17, 2026, members of the Shreveport Police Department’s Property Crimes Unit, Violent Crime Abatement Team (VCAT), and K-9 Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the 9200 block of Emmett Drive. Both suspects were taken into custody and interviewed by detectives, where they made statements regarding their involvement in several of the thefts.
The investigation also revealed similar incidents in neighboring Bossier City. The Bossier City Police Department is conducting its own investigation and is expected to pursue additional charges related to offenses that occurred within its jurisdiction.
