Shriners Children’s Shreveport has been awarded a $50,000 Competitive Grant from the Community Foundation of North Louisiana, with funding made possible in part through the Rubye Moss Ratcliff Fund.
The grant will support the hospital’s Pediatric Orthotic and Prosthetic Services (POPS) department, which provides custom braces and prosthetic limbs for children receiving specialized care.
According to the Community Foundation, the award is part of its 2026 competitive grant cycle and reflects ongoing philanthropic efforts made possible through donor-established funds. The Rubye Moss Ratcliff Fund honors the legacy of Shreveport native Rubye Moss Ratcliff, an artist whose estate has contributed millions in charitable support to organizations across the region.
Shriners Children’s Shreveport noted that the funding will help enhance services that directly impact children and families in need of orthopedic and prosthetic care.
The grant continues a long-standing partnership between the Community Foundation and local healthcare providers working to expand access to specialized pediatric treatment across Northwest Louisiana.
