Aggie Eugene “Gene” Davis, age 85, of Springhill, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026. Gene was born on July 1, 1940, in Plain Dealing, Louisiana to Aggie and Maybelle Davis. He was a Mason and was an ordained deacon from Anderson Baptist Church in Hope, Arkansas.  

Preceded in death by his parents, Aggie and Maybelle Davis; his wife, Christene; his granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Jennings; and his sister, Sally Nealy.

Survived by his daughter, Cindy (Jay) Jennings of Taylor, Arkansas; brother, Jerry (Sherry) Davis of Sarepta, Louisiana; sisters, Norma Rodgers and Shelia Tompkins, both of Plain Dealing, Louisiana; grandson, Andrew Jennings of Dallas, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Pallbearers honoring Gene will be Travis Wayne Rogers, Bubba Kelner, Kelly Kelner, Robert Lee Jack, Cody Vansickle and David Joe Wright.

Graveside services will be on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Bradley, Arkansas, with Dr Wayne McMahen officiating, assisted by Bro. Jonathan Montgomery. 

Services are under the direction of A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas.
