David was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Bobbie Lorraine, for 70 wonderful years. He was a man of unwavering faith whose love for the Lord and for his family guided every aspect of his adult life. He faithfully served his church for many years as both a Sunday school teacher and a deacon, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.

David will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his loyal friendships, and his generous spirit. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found joy in fishing, hunting, camping, and traveling to Colorado. He treasured the simple pleasures of life and the time spent with those he loved.

Above all, David’s greatest pride and most meaningful legacy was his family. He dedicated countless hours to raising and supporting the boys in his life, coaching and cheering on Dave, Danny, and Sam through sports and life’s milestones. He was also an enthusiastic fan of sports, with LSU always holding a special place as his favorite team.

David especially cherished the time he spent with his grandsons, Adam, Hunter, and Jake, creating memories and sharing moments that will be treasured forever.

David was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, David and Daniel; his brothers, Jerry and Kenny; and his sisters, Louise and Linda.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Bobbie Lorraine, his brother, Marvin; his son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Ellen; his daughter-in-law, Janet; his grandsons, Adam, Hunter (Sharon) and Jake (Anna); along with four great-grandchildren.

Honoring David as pallbearers will be Wayne Borne, Ken Walker, Dean Graner, Ricky Brittain, Casey Brittain, and Nick Paxton.
