Billy Gerald Graham, 73, passed away on May 6, 2026.
Born on December 8, 1952, in Shreveport, Billy was the son of Billie “Billy” Arnold Graham of Ruston and Peggy Reeves Graham of Bernice.
In his younger years, Billy was known for his sense of humor, quick wit, and ability to make people laugh. He enjoyed having fun, telling jokes, and keeping those around him entertained. He was thoughtful and intelligent, someone who enjoyed learning and could spend hours thinking deeply about life and the world around him.
He also took pride in his appearance and was known for dressing well and carrying himself with confidence. Mischievous at times, Billy had a playful spirit that left lasting memories for the people who knew and loved him. Although a stroke later changed many aspects of his life, those closest to him still remember the man he was in those earlier years- full of personality, humor, curiosity, and life.
Billy is survived by his daughter, Jessica Taylor and her husband, Josh Taylor; his beloved grandchildren, Mallory Taylor, Mason Taylor, Sophia Taylor, and Britton Taylor; his sisters, Rhonda Staiger and her husband Larry, Phyllis Hale and her husband Bruce and Kayla McDonald; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billie “Billy” Arnold Graham and Peggy Reeves Graham.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Northwest Louisiana Veterans Home for the love, care, kindness, and patience shown to Billy during his final years. Their compassion and dedication brought comfort not only to him, but also to those who loved him.
A private family service will be held at a later date to honor and remember Billy’s life.
