Mayor Tommy Chandler has honored Barbara Nichols, Executive Assistant to the Mayor, with the City of Bossier City Employee Spotlight Award.

The recognition celebrates Nichols’ six years of faithful service to the municipality and highlights her recent personal and professional milestones. While maintaining her full-time duties serving the citizens of Bossier City, Nichols recently completed the requirements to earn her Associate’s Degree in Business Management.

Mayor Chandler praised Nichols for her determination and commitment to excellence, noting that her academic achievement reflects the same hard work she brings to her role at City Hall.

“We are proud to celebrate this milestone with her,” the city stated in an announcement on May 14. “Congratulations, Barbara, and thank you for all you do for the City of Bossier City!”

Nichols has been a member of the Bossier City staff since 2020, providing administrative support and public service to the community.
