The Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office has identified a mailing issue that affected notices of court appearance dated between March 30, 2026, and May 8, 2026.
Office records show that while the notices were deposited in a timely manner with the United States Postal Service, some envelopes bear delayed postmarks, causing late delivery.
The District Attorney is taking remedial action to ensure that defendants’ due process rights are protected for any failure to appear that might have resulted from such notices not being received in a timely manner.
People who receive or have received a notice to appear after their scheduled court date should immediately contact the District Attorney’s Office at (318) 226-6826.
