
The Shreveport Police Department announced that, as of May 11, officers have responded to more than 1,000 domestic violence-related calls for service and are approaching 175 domestic violence-related arrests so far this year.
Police also released information regarding several recent arrests connected to domestic violence incidents across the city.
According to the department:
- Teri Antee was arrested on May 10 just before noon and charged with one count of Simple Battery of a Dating Partner.
- Keldrick Cornelius was arrested on May 10 around 6 a.m. and charged with one count of Domestic Abuse Battery.
- Laishana Harris was arrested on May 10 around 4 a.m. and charged with one count of Domestic Abuse Child Endangerment.
- Stemond Scott was arrested on May 9 around noon and charged with one count of Battery of a Dating Partner and one count of Interfering with Emergency Communication after officers responded to the incident.
- Robert Thomas was arrested on May 5 just before 6 p.m. and charged with Domestic Abuse Child Endangerment.
- Amonise Morris was arrested on May 6 just after 5 p.m. and charged with one count of Violation of a Restraining Order.
- James Conway was arrested on May 5 around 11 p.m. and charged with one count of Domestic Abuse Battery and one count of Domestic Abuse Child Endangerment.
- IT Vosley was arrested on May 5 by the Shreveport City Marshal’s Office on a warrant for one count of Simple Battery of a Dating Partner.
The Shreveport Police Department said it remains committed to combating domestic violence, protecting victims, and holding offenders accountable. Officials stated investigators continue to work alongside patrol officers, prosecutors, advocacy groups, and community partners to address domestic violence incidents and provide support services for victims.
Chief Wayne Smith has repeatedly stressed that domestic violence is a serious issue affecting the entire community and warned that situations can escalate if left unaddressed. Police are encouraging anyone experiencing domestic violence to seek help and report incidents immediately.
