The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office is now accepting applications for its annual Caddo Sheriff’s Camp, a free overnight summer camp for children ages 9-12.

The camp will take place June 7-10 at Kinsey Scout Reservation and is organized through a partnership between the Sheriff’s Office and Scouting America – Norwela Council.

According to the sheriff’s office, the program is designed to introduce scouting and outdoor experiences to children in Caddo Parish who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend summer camp.

Campers will participate in activities including swimming, archery, marksmanship, and leadership development exercises throughout the four-day event.

Officials said transportation to and from the camp will be provided, with funding for the program made possible through citizen donations.
