The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Monday, March 9, 2026, the LA 169 (Dixie-Mooringsport Rd) bridge over Walnut Bayou near the Town of Mooringsport in north Caddo Parish will be closed.
This closure is scheduled to be in place until Friday, March 13th, and is necessary to allow DOTD crews to perform repairs to the bridge pilings.
This bridge is located approximately 0.81 miles east of LA 538 (Old Mooringsport Rd).
This critical work ensures the structure remains in service to the community, and helps prevent long-term closures. We appreciate the patience and understanding of the traveling public.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified locations. All vehicles will need to utilize alternate routes.
Alternate Route: Detour signage will be in place.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
