Remembering Ronald Arthur Fagan

Ronald Arthur Fagan, 79, passed away Thursday, January 29th 2026 with his family as his side. Ronald was born October 30th, 1946 in Seattle, WA, to Bill and Ena Fagan. He was a dedicated Vietnam veteran who served in both the Navy and Air Force, before retiring from military service in 2006. Ronald graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Maryville College in Maryville, Tennessee in 1968 before enlisting in the Navy. During his time at Maryville College, Ron studied Theater, where he performed in many college stage productions including ‘Fiddler on the Roof’. After being awarded two bronze stars in the Navy during the Vietnam war, Ron was honorably discharged from active duty in 1973. In 1979, he began his second branch of military service in the Air Force. Spending years as a reservist at many Air Force bases, Ron and his wife Catherine Fagan then moved to the Shreveport-Bossier area in 1982 before having they’re first child together, Joshua, in 1983. He completed his military service at Barksdale Air Force Base in 2006, bringing his total military service to over 30 years. Upon retiring from his military career, Ronald began acting again, this time in the thriving TV and film business in Louisiana. He was credited in radio commercials, indie films, television shows, and large production films like Harold & Kumar 2. Ronald will be remembered for his outgoing and joyful nature. He loved social gatherings in the local film and theater scene and made many friends in the business. His passion for film and art persisted all the way through his retirement years. He is survived by his son, Joshua, and his stepson Russell.

A committal service with military honors will be held at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery on Monday, February 16th, at 12:30 p.m. followed by a memorial gathering at Aulds Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m.
