The Caddo Parish Commission selected its leadership for 2026 during its regular session meeting on Jan. 8.

Commissioner Gregory Young of District 2 was chosen to serve as Commission President. Commissioner Victor Thomas of District 3 was selected as Vice President, and Commissioner Steffon Jones of District 6 was named Parliamentarian.

Young said he is honored to be selected by his fellow commissioners to lead the governing body in the coming year. He said he looks forward to continuing the commission’s work on behalf of Caddo Parish residents, including collaboration with state and local partners, advancing economic development initiatives, strengthening parish infrastructure, and improving overall quality of life for citizens.

The officers will serve one-year terms as part of the commission’s 2026 leadership structure.
