Shreveport-Bossier Health System welcomed its first baby of the new year on January 1, 2026.

Baby girl Scarlett was born at 11:01 a.m. to parents Mara and Clint. She was delivered by Dr. Scotto and was welcomed with love by her family, including her proud big brother, Warren.

Hospital staff shared in celebrating the milestone, noting it was a joyful way to begin the new year.
