The Shreveport Police Department joined with local first responders last week to help make the holiday season brighter for area children during the annual “Shopper With a First Responder” event at the Walmart on Mansfield Road.

Officers partnered with community members to give children an opportunity to pick out gifts, creating moments of joy and connection that organizers say embody the true spirit of the season.
