The Dallas Cowboys are taking off for a few days, so Dak Prescott is taking off to his hometown to see the renovations he has funded at his alma mater, Haughton High School.

Thursday evening, the Cowboys’ quarterback will be returning to the turf where his athletic career first started for a special night in Haughton High history. He will be honored at an official field dedication ceremony at 6 p.m. at Harold E. Harlan Stadium.

The Prescott Field dedication event will serve as a fundraiser for Haughton Athletics. A limited number of tickets are available for $5 and must be purchased online at Local Level Event Tickets.

Bossier Parish School Board employees will be admitted free with their employee ID badge.

Included with every K-12th grade admission is a chance to win one of 10 footballs to be signed by Prescott the night of the event.

Prescott sported the number 6 on his jersey as a Haughton Buccaneer and since becoming an NFL star, has hosted youth football camps at his alma mater, donated sports equipment and uniforms, purchased school supplies and sponsored athletic events.

Before the 2025 football season kicked off, Prescott gifted more than a million dollars to the school to construct the largest video score board of its kind in Louisiana high school football. The gift also allowed the school to revamp the weight room where he once worked out alongside his teammates.

Dallas has an open date weekend after Monday night’s loss to Arizona.
