Voting for the Week 7 Shreveport-Bossier Journal Top 10 provided an unexpected consensus.
Behind the top two teams, unbeaten Parkway (three of four first-place votes) and Evangel (5-1), there’s not much difference between Calvary (5-1), Northwood (5-1) and Loyola (6-0).
No difference at all, at least according to the poll. The teams are in a three-way tie for third.
Calvary moved up from fifth and Northwood jumped from sixth after road wins. Loyola hung in at third after blasting Bossier.
Captain Shreve (4-2) slipped from third to sixth after its blowout loss at Evangel. Benton (2-4) broke into the poll after its second straight win on the heels of two high-scoring competitive losses to Huntington (3-3) and Shreve.
Booker T. Washington (4-2) was drubbed by Northwood but remained in the top 10.
