Nearly 25 employees from the Bossier Parish Highway Department participated in flagger training yesterday at the Central Library in Bossier City, aimed at improving road safety and work zone safety.
Led by the Louisiana Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP), the training introduced participants to key standards and guidelines for traffic control in street and highway construction, maintenance, utility work, and incident response. Parish workers learned practical applications, including flagger safety tips, to protect themselves and their coworkers while working on active roadways.
This training is part of LTAP’s ongoing mission to support local agencies with the knowledge and tools they need to keep Louisiana’s roads safe.
