Shreveport Police officers were dispatched to a report of an armed person at 1205 Shreveport Barksdale Highway n the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 15, just after 1am. Upon arrival, officers located a female victim who reported she had been kidnapped from her residence in the 1100 block of Gayle
Street. The victim also advised that gunshots had been fired at that location prior to her escape. Thankfully, she was not physically injured.

Through swift investigative work, officers were able to identify and arrest Jeremy Brown in connection with the incident. Brown has been charged with the following:

• One count of Home Invasion
• One count of Aggravated Kidnapping
• One count of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm
• One count of Simple Battery of a Dating Partner
