ATLANTA – LSU head coach Brian Kelly and quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, linebacker Whit Weeks and wide receiver Chris Hilton Jr. will open today’s 40th SEC Football Media Days here at the College Football Hall of Fame.
All 16 league head coaches and 48 players (three for each school) will appear over the next three days before a credentialed media gathering of more than 1,000 reporters.
Press conferences of each head coach in the main media room will be telecast on the SEC Network.
After SEC commissioner Greg Sankey delivers his state of the league address, Kelly is the first coach in the main media room. He will speak and answer questions from 9:25 a.m. CT until 9:55 a.m. CT
Other head coaches appearing today (in order of appearance) are South Carolina’s Shane Beamer, Ole Miss’ Lane Kiffin and Vanderbilt’s Clark Lea.
Tuesday’s schedule features Georgia’s Kirby Smart, Auburn’s Hugh Freeze, Tennessee’s Josh Heupel and Texas’ Steve Sarkisian.
Wednesday’s lineup is Alabama’s Kalen Deboer, Mississippi State’s Jeff Lebby, Florida’s Billy Napier and Oklahoma’s Brent Venables.
Thursday’s final day features Missouri’s Eli Drinkwitz, Kentucky’s Mark Stoops, Arkansas’ Sam Pittman and Texas A&M’s Mike Elko.
The media’s predicted order of finish and the preseason All-SEC team will be announced on Friday.
