The voluntary boil advisory that was issued last week for parts of E. Flournoy Lucas Road has been lifted by the Shreveport Department of Water and Sewerage.

The boil advisory impacted E. Flournoy Lucas Road from Wallace Lake Road to the Twelve Oaks Subdivision, including Lucien Field Estates, Acadiana Place, and Ellerbe Estates. This advisory was prompted by a loss in system pressure caused by a vehicle damaging a backflow preventer in the area. When pressure drops, there is an increased risk that contaminants could enter the water system. As a precaution, the water in this area may be of questionable microbiological quality until testing can confirm its safety.
