Kynzee Anderson was almost unbeaten in the circle this season for the Calvary Baptist softball team. She didn’t stop there.

The junior two-way star also packed a lot of punch at the plate and headlines the Louisiana Sports Writers Association’s 2025 Class 2A all-state softball team announced over the weekend.

Anderson is a Georgia commitment who led top-seeded Calvary Baptist in a big way, going 24-1. She also batted .466 with 14 home runs and 45 RBI.

Despite a flareup of back issues in pregame warmups, she fired a no-hitter in a run-rule victory over district rival D’Arbonne Woods in the Division III select softball final.

She finished 2025 with 245 strikeouts in 145 innings pitched, becoming a first-team All-State selection for a third consecutive season.

Six more Lady Cavaliers were included in the All-State recognition as Calvary won a fifth straight state title and finished 37-1.

Catcher Mallory Carver, outfielder Loren Sivils and infielder Baylor Bockhaus were first-team picks. Bockhaus and Sivils were honorable mention picks a year ago.

On the HM list for this season from Calvary are Carlie Guile (for the second straight year), Brynn Robinson and Jaycee Sledge.

There were two more local honorable mention picks, Nataleigh Ball of North Caddo and Khamijah Rogers, on the softball list.

No local boys made the All-State baseball first team, but Calvary had four on the honorable mention roster:  Justin Funderburk, Cooper Holmes, Brady Martinez, and Maddux Lyddy, the only locals included.
