The Shreveport City Marshal’s Office is holding an Amnesty Day on Saturday, June 21, 8am to 3pm, at Shreveport City Court.
Any individual who has outstanding warrants through Shreveport City Court can have those warrants recalled and new court dates scheduled without additional fees or fear of being arrested.
Any individual with delinquent fines can also set up a new payment schedule.
However, some warrants cannot be recalled. Warrants that involve domestic abuse battery, battery of a dating partner, DWIs, and/or probation will NOT be recalled. Individuals must post bond.
Amnesty Day only applies to the immediate execution of an eligible warrant. It doesn’t grant amnesty from prosecution for any underlying offense.
Marshal James Jefferson encourages individuals who have warrants that do not fall into the prohibited group to take advantage of this opportunity.
