Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies were dispatched to the 10000 block of Mustang Circle in Keithville due to concerns for a resident’s welfare on May 5, shortly before 7am. Upon arrival, the suspect refused to communicate with the deputies. A few minutes later, the deputies heard a gunshot coming from inside the residence. 

In response, they deployed a drone to search the interior, where they discovered four individuals who were possibly deceased, including the suspect. After securing the residence, Caddo Parish Fire District 6 arrived on the scene and declared all four individuals deceased. 

Neighbors of the suspect informed investigators that the suspect was possibly a doomsday prepper. Consequently, investigators contacted the Shreveport Fire Department Bomb Unit to ensure the safety of the area. Once the scene was deemed secure, the investigators began their preliminary investigation. 

An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the incident. An update regarding this incident will be provided in the near future.
