Deputies from the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, officers from the Bossier City Police Department, and Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop G combined forces to conduct a sobriety checkpoint in the 5800 block of Shed Road in Bossier City on April 18.
A total of 649 vehicles were screened during the checkpoint. Twelve citations were issued for various violations, and nine field sobriety tests were administered, two of which resulted in a DWI arrest. One arrest was made for drug possession.
This checkpoint was conducted as part of a grant awarded by the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.
